We do a lot of phone interviews at GDS. They are a great way to quickly get some high-level qualitative insights. 'Paired phone interviewing' is something we are trying out as a way to:
  • involve your team in a phone interview (user research is a team sport)
  • add extra questions to the interview as it evolves
  • get technical help if the topic of the interview includes specialist terms or acronyms

For user research we focus on the access need rather than the condition. However, for recruitment screener purposes we focus on the condition first. The following example screeners can be adapted to suit your project and used for participant recruitment.
